Macarons

Here is my first attempt at French Macarons. I like the way they turned out but I am not sure if I need to bake them at a lower temperature so the inside cooks a bit more. These are filled with chocolate ganache. Maybe I will try a bit lighter filling for spring. This purple looks like all of the crocuses popping up!

Here is my last entry for the Sweet Ambs contest. I love the contrast of the blue and white. I hope spring has found it's way to you. Our grass is finally starting to turn green and a few purple flowers have made their way up through the cold ground. Happy decorating!

Here is my second entry for the Sweetambs spring cookie contest. I call them crayon cookies because they look like the were decorated with a crayon. The happy little slugs make me smile!

Sweetambs spring cookie contest

Here is my entry for the Sweetambs spring cookie decorating contest. Some spring chicks as my daughter calls them.

Since I was a slacker and didn't make any Easter cookies, here are photos of my Valentine's Day and St. Patrick's Day cookies. I love the quilted technique used to make the heart cookies. It requires a lot of drying time but it is easy to do. My daughter likes them too, she is trying to sneak one away! No luck...Mamas see everything!

Here are some Stowe cookies for spring. I am ready for the mountains to be green again! I didn't have any time this year to make Easter cookies but Happy Easter!

Spring!

So in honor of tomorrow, the first day of spring, I decided to make flower cookies. I did this DURING a major snow storm that dumped more than eight inches! So much for spring!
