Heady Topper!

Here is my second entry for the King Arthur Cookie Contest.  I think he turned out pretty cute! My daughter said, "He's drinking hot chocolate!".  Alas no, he is drinking Heady Topper, the number one rated beer on some online beer thing.  I am not totally sure but it is very tasty and very close by.  Hill Farmstead is another excellent beer brewed near us, hmmm....beer cookies. Sorry just a side note! Anyway here is the cookie-

I decided to dress the church up a bit for Christmas. These make beautiful ornaments and are about six inches tall.  Please message me if you would like to order for Christmas.  They are $7.00 per ornament and there is no minimum order.  They would be beautiful for a winter wedding (like ours!).  My husband and I got married outside-in Vermont-in December- in sub-zero temperatures!  Well at least it felt like sub-zero! I stayed warm because of adrenaline, I am not sure my sisters in-law fared so well!

King Arthur Flour

This little guy is my entry for the King Arthur Flour cookie contest.  It had to be a snowman or a gingerbread man.  It is an online competition and the grand prize winner gets to choose which hunger related non-profit organization they would like $5,000 dollars donated to.  Anyone can enter so get baking!  To enter go to the King Arthur Flour Facebook page.

I think I will enter with a gingerbread man as well. I am picturing green wool pants and a plaid wool coat, very Vermont!

Christmas Cookies

It is time to start thinking about Christmas cookies again!  We used to always get together with our cousins Robin and Allison and make cookies.  I remember loving the candy cane cookies that were made out of an almond flavored dough.  I will have to try those again this year, I think our daughter would love twisting the dough into canes!

I made these tree cookies last year and I will be making them again this year. They are $27.00 per dozen and all of the cookies come individually wrapped in a cello bag with a raffia tie.

I will also be making assorted Holiday cookie platters starting at $30.00 for six large cookies and 12 mini cookies.  Pictures will be coming soon!

Ladies' Night at the Museum fundraiser

I just finished a donation of 100 cookies for a fundraiser at the Vermont Ski and Snowboard Museum.
It is a Ladie's Night theme so I decided to go with a cosmopolitan and a wedge of lime.  All of the martini glass cutters available have a very thin stem and I was worried about breakage because these were going to be in a goody bag.  So I took one of my large circle cutters and formed it into a martini glass with a wider stem.

Then I chose the colors.

I just love these colors together, very Lily Pulitzer! They definitely brighten up a grey November day in Vermont!

Here is the finished product.

I think they will be fun for the party!

Congratulations Chelsea and Eric!

These cookies were made for a recent fall wedding in Vermont.  They had a beautiful day for the wedding.  They are 3 1/2 inch rounds and were packaged in cello bags tied with raffia.

I was so worried that I packed too many cookies in each box.  I was envisioning a box full of broken cookies, but I think they all survived!  It is amazing how worried you can get over cookies, they really are labors of love!

ORDERING INFORMATION

I wanted to put together a post with ordering information for local customers.  I am located in Morrisville, VT and I am happy to deliver in Lamoille and Washington counties.  I do not currently ship cookies.

I have a one dozen minimum order policy and need two weeks lead time.

All cookies come individually packaged in a cellophane bag tied with raffia unless otherwise indicated by the customer.  The cookies are best eaten fresh but will last for just over a week if left unopened.

Ingredients: Flour, sugar, eggs, butter, baking powder, salt, vanilla, fiori di scilica (a flavoring of citrus, vanilla, alcohol), confectioner's sugar, merengue powder, food coloring.

Cookies are processed in a facility ( my home) that also processes nuts. My cookies should not be eaten by people with severe allergies as I cannot guarantee they have not come into contact with allergens such as gluten, nuts, dairy, etc.
